BBVA increases its bets on the metaverse, after closing an alliance with the company Legendaryum. This is how BBVA has opened a new office within the Legendaryum metaverse in Spain.

The purpose of the alliance will be to explore the potential uses of the metaverse for the company, and to see the possibilities that it will give to its employees.

BBVA will open an office in the metaverse thanks to the recent alliance with the Metaverse Legendaryum, which will be a replica of the company's offices located in Madrid.

Iván Moreno, from BBVA's Strategy and Digital Assets area, commented:

"It is important to understand what these technologies can do and how they can affect users. We also need to make sure they are secure and protect users from any technical risks or limitations."

In recent months, the metaverse has received a lot of attention from various companies in different fields. Legendaryum is a company which has one of the first metaverse platforms at a global level.

Moreno added:

“We need to test it first hand and have already held the first meetings and organized some remote training talks." "Having a place to test in a hyper-realistic environment allows us to think of new ideas for use cases or needs that would otherwise be difficult to anticipate. In this way, business areas can develop innovative tools, capabilities and possibilities to make these spaces truly unique."

BBVA and its journey through the metaverse

During the last year BBVA has carried out several actions within the metaverse field. Such as the recent celebration of a meeting of entrepreneurs. This took place in Alicante in September last year and was led by BBVA.

Other initiatives that the company carried out, in October 2022, was the launch of its first fund in Mexico, which allows its users to invest in blockchain projects and the metaverse.

In this sense, we can see how the company has worked on various initiatives related to the world of virtual reality in Spain and Latin America.
